Meet the group of volunteers who manage the coordination of the movement in Puerto Rico.

Gionira “Gio” Blanco 

Coordinator of Strategic Relations and #GivingTuesdayKids

Gionira has a BA in Anthropology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's in Human Rights from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. She is a Certified Empowerment Coach and has offered courses and workshops on related topics. One of his passions is the third sector, which is why he has been working with non-profit organizations and foundations for more than 13 years. He has experience in strengthening the third sector, technical assistance, advocacy, collaborations, alliances, advocacy, and social movements. She has worked as a mentor for children and adolescents on human rights issues, which is why she is currently the coordinator of #GivingTuesdayKidsPR.

"Belonging to #GivingTuesday is for me an opportunity to continue contributing to the strengthening of the third sector. Making visible and supporting the work of these organizations is one of my passions. The satisfaction you feel helping others is a unique experience. Lcda. Lizannette Morales Crespo, JD

Coordinator of Community Relations and Volunteering

Lizannette is a Biologist and High School Educator who graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She has a Juris Doctor from the Inter-American University School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership at Arizona State University. She is a founding member of Meraki Group, Inc., a non-profit institution dedicated to raising awareness of social problems in faith communities, on issues of domestic violence, child abuse, and protection of the elderly.

Donald C. Escudero Rivera

Operations Coordinator

Donal is a graduate of Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, currently pursuing a master's degree in Cultural Management and Administration at the said institution. He is a founding member of the #GivingTuesday Puerto Rico movement established in 2017. He has collaborated with non-profit entities for the development of fundraising campaigns and as an operations volunteer.
