Meet the group of volunteers who manage the coordination of the movement in Puerto Rico.
Roberto M. Soto Acosta
Roberto Soto obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Manhattan College in New York and his Master's Degree in Education from Harvard University, where he studied for a doctorate in Social Policy and Education. Since the age of 16, he has been involved as a volunteer and leader in community affairs and within non-profit institutions. Expert in fundraising and in the management of civil society organizations with more than 35 years of professional experience in New York, Illinois, Florida, and Puerto Rico, he has worked in the management of funds for the benefit of institutions educational, museums, hospitals, social welfare programs, health, and environmental organizations, among others.
With more than 20 years of experience, he has dedicated himself to independent consulting and is a principal partner of the company Imagine Consulting. He has taught courses in the Master's Program in Cultural Administration and Management at the University of Puerto Rico. He was a member of the Ethics Committee of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for nine years internationally. He is the founder of the Alliance for the Development of the Third Puerto Rican Sector, a non-profit entity under which he establishes the #GivingTuesday Puerto Rico movement of which he is its current global representative before the International movement.
Gionira “Gio” Blanco
Coordinator of Strategic Relations and #GivingTuesdayKids
Gionira has a BA in Anthropology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's in Human Rights from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. She is a Certified Empowerment Coach and has offered courses and workshops on related topics. One of his passions is the third sector, which is why he has been working with non-profit organizations and foundations for more than 13 years. He has experience in strengthening the third sector, technical assistance, advocacy, collaborations, alliances, advocacy, and social movements. She has worked as a mentor for children and adolescents on human rights issues, which is why she is currently the coordinator of #GivingTuesdayKidsPR.

Lcda. Lizannette Morales Crespo, JD
Coordinator of Community Relations and Volunteering
Lizannette is a Biologist and High School Educator who graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She has a Juris Doctor from the Inter-American University School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership at Arizona State University. She is a founding member of Meraki Group, Inc., a non-profit institution dedicated to raising awareness of social problems in faith communities, on issues of domestic violence, child abuse, and protection of the elderly.

Elena M. Colón Parrilla, Ph.D.
Analysis and Data Coordinator
Elena has collaborated with various non-profit organizations for the past fifteen years and is currently the executive director of the Intellectus Foundation. Her preparation in economics and business is combined with her desire to contribute to improving the living conditions of the people in Puerto Rico.

Donald C. Escudero Rivera
Donal is a graduate of Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, currently pursuing a master's degree in Cultural Management and Administration at the said institution. He is a founding member of the #GivingTuesday Puerto Rico movement established in 2017. He has collaborated with non-profit entities for the development of fundraising campaigns and as an operations volunteer.
